Nero is an optical disk authoring application for Windows. It uses .NRG CD image file format to create and burn CD/DVD images. Other than Nero, a number of applications can mount this file on virtual drives for reading. .NRG files can also be stored on hard drive or any other storage media/device. There are some situations where .NRG file may become inaccessible if you copy a large sized file (more than 4 GB) to a FAT hard drive. This situation results into critical file loss and you need to opt for File Recovery solutions to sort out this behavior.
